1st Event of the Year: All School Party

Every September, the All School Party brings the whole school together as a meeting ground for new and old students alike. The party serves as the first major event after Frontline/ Welcome Week. This year’s party proved to be successful with about 500-600 students in attendance. Upon arriving, students were excited to jump in on every activity right away!

“The goals for this event were to bring students of VUSC together in a fun, active, and social environment,” Hernandez said.

Students rolled into the mall by the dozens, all dressed into theme. At every turn was a strategically placed Gladiator battle, for example, in the jousting inflatable or on the dodge ball field. Less intimidating options were the rock-climbing wall or the obstacle course.

“Overall, the party was a big success, everyone looked amazing, and it was a great way to start the year,” said Hernandez.

ASB would like to give thanks to Laguna and Huntington RA’s for promoting the event to freshman residents; the turn out was huge from those halls; to Plan It Interactive, Café, athletic department, and ASBG also for joining efforts to make this event possible.

Lastly, thanks to the 2008-2009 On Campus Director, Heather Hernandez and assistant, Mike Jones, who served as this event’s party planners.
